If you have any queries regarding any of these matters, don’t hesitate to talk to a member of the PCC
- Heating System: the annual service has been done and outstanding issues are being addressed
- Communications: the meeting arranged for a group to meet to consider how our communications within the parish can be improved and better co-ordinated.
- The Servery Project: we should hear soon from the Diocese regarding this project. If approval is given, we will then be looking to apply for grants and organise fund-raising.
- The Director of Music/Organist position: The post is being advertised and we have an expression of interest which is being followed up.
- Churchyard Co-ordinator: following the decision to leave some areas of the churchyard for ‘wilding’, we are inviting someone to consider how this might be realised.
- Charity Calendar: following consultation with our congregation, our monthly charity calendar for 2026 was approved.
- World Day of Prayer Service: This year, the service for our deanery will be held at St Nicolas Church on Friday, 6th March at 1:30pm. The meeting considered arrangements
- Community Events: In addition to the planned Open Gardens Event (30th May), consideration was given to holding an Art Trail in different locations around the village.
- Fabric Issues: our Church Warden reported on various maintenance issues related to roofing, security, electrics, health and safety.
- Friends: An exciting Taplow Talk is planned for 12th March – story of a transatlantic row – and two other Taplow talks are planned for 13th August and 12th November. The next Friends’ Newsletter will clarify membership subscriptions.
- Treasurer’s Report: This was accepted and agreed.
- Deanery matters: a subgroup will respond to a questionnaire from the deanery requesting our views. Two PCC Members will attend a Children and Youth event at the end of February.
Next Meeting is on Wednesday, 11th March, 2026
