Outcomes from the PCC Meeting held on Wednesday, 15th July, 2026

  • Director of Music Post: the post is being re-advertised (closing date end of August) and sponsorship requests are out to fund the revised salary
  • South Aisle project: two quotes have been received and these are being followed up by the sub group who will eventually recommend one of them
  • Open Gardens event: this was reviewed and it was decided to look at a further event to take place in 2028
  • Ride and Stride Event: we will hold our monthly Coffee Morning on this date (12th September) possibly opening for longer to welcome participants
  • Safeguarding: we adopted the safeguarding policy and agreed to highlight is on Safeguarding Sunday (in the autumn).
  • Inclusive church: the meeting examined the implications of joining this network and felt it was important for us given our Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors strapline.  We will work through the requirements including a focus on it in our Sunday worship during September.
  • Art and Craft Day: it was agreed to hold this event on 10th October.
  • Finance: It was agreed to seek help regarding our investments
  • Other Matters: As usual, the meeting dealt with any Health & Safety matters together with any safeguarding issues.
