Outcomes from the PCC Meeting: 28th May, 2025

  • Kneeler Project Update: two pairs of runners are in church and a third is in production.  We are seeking funding for additional ones.
  • Boiler Service Plan: This is held up pending action on the asbestos issue; quotes for this work will be obtained
  • South Aisle Project: We await a Diocesan response to our proposals.
  • Fund-raising: A BBQ with raffle is planned together with two more coffee mornings (12th June & 14th July).  There will also be coffee mornings on 6th September and 4th October and a Christmas Fair on 29thNovember.
  • Fabric: Vestry Chimney needs repair; quotes to be obtained.
  • Friends of St Nicolas Church: The July Talk will now take place in August (21st).  Newsletter about to go out and a Garden event is planned for next May/June
  • Churchyard: discussion about the closure of the Churchyard; further research to be done about this.
  • Organist: small group convened to create a proposal for when Neil leaves us.
  • Bench donation: the PCC welcomed a donation of a bench for the ashes area of the churchyard.
