Outcomes from PCC Meeting; 17th July, 2024

  • Permanent Servery Progress Update: Members of the PCC have met Diocesan representatives on two occasions recently to agree how this work will be done.  We have received enthusiastic encouragement and useful advice.  We now await their report after which our architect will complete the drawings for exactly what will happen.
  • Boiler/heating Update: Clive joined the meeting.  He has kindly agreed to liaise with contractors on our behalf and is seeing the a representative of the manufacturers shortly.  Then the aim will be to select a company with whom we will enter into a service agreement.
  • Open Gardens Event Review: The Council considered this event a big success both in social and financial terms.  The work of those who put the event together was much appreciated as was the willingness of local residents to enable so many people to see their beautiful gardens.
  • Proposal for Kneelers Exhibition: A small group is considering options for the display of the needlework on our kneelers and also possible future uses.
  • Review of 2021 Census Data: The Council examined a series of graphs relating to the makeup of our community: ages, ethnicity, deprivation, numbers, church attendance, baptisms, weddings, funerals etc. Our discussion aimed to improve our understanding of the community we serve and inform our mission plans.
