We have been able to send £220 to St Martin-in-the-Fields Homeless Charity from our August appeal; thank you for your support.
During September, we are turning our attention to Macmillan Cancer Support supporting the homeless. There are almost 3.5 million people living with cancer in the UK. That number is rising and by 2030 this figure will rise to 4 million. Right now, cancer care isn’t fair across the UK and there are unacceptable differences in the care and support people are getting. Some people aren’t getting the treatment or support they need because it isn’t available where they live, or it is only available for certain types of cancer.
Macmillan Cancer Support is doing whatever it takes to help more people with cancer get the best care the UK has to offer, whoever and wherever they are. They provide services, raise money for research, support the cancer workforce, influence decision makers and help employ cancer staff.
Please give what you can in the usual way: the charity box or the card reader. Thank you.
