St Nicolas PCC is delighted to announce that, thanks to generous donations, fundraising efforts, and successful grant applications, we have fully met the costs of removing asbestos contamination from our boiler room and crypt.
Both local and national organisations have helped us achieve this. They are:

Benefact Trust funding, guiding and celebrating the work of churches and Christian charities; empowering the most vulnerable and giving people, communities and places a renewed opportunity to flourish.

Buckinghamshire Historic Churches Trust supporting local communities to maintain and restore their churches so that they can continue to be enjoyed by the whole community.

Hitcham & Taplow Society preserving local heritage, keeping an eye on local planning applications to protecting the rural nature of the area, to encourage community spirit by publishing a twice-yearly Newsletter (given free to HTS members) and to run the Village Green Party each summer.

The Listed Places of Worship (LPW) Grant Scheme giving grants covering the VAT on repairs of over £1,000 to listed buildings used as places of worship.

National Churches Trust providing a lifeline to historic churches struggling with repair costs.

Taplow Parish Council which is our first tier of local government looking after the interests of everyone who lives within the parish.
When this major issue was discovered in May, we never imagined we’d be even close to covering the costs by year-end. Your support—from individuals to local and National Organisations—made it possible. It’s clear that our church building is valued by the whole community, of all faiths and none, as an important place for worship, gathering, and shared events.

Thank you all for your generosity and encouragement.
