Opportunities for Lent

This Year’s Lent Course:  ‘What does it mean to be an Inclusive Church’  is a series of six Monday evenings starts a week on Monday, (27th) from 7:30 to 9:00pm.  Members of the PCC are attending this course and anyone else is very welcome to join them.  No need to book in advance—just come.

Come and See” also takes place during Lent each year. It’s our big, warm open invitation to everyone, for everyone for an adventure in faith and trust.  It’s something for the local church and the whole community… including children and young people, families and schools. It’s completely free and all are welcome.  We send you a short email each day, Monday to Saturday. And on Sundays during Lent you receive a short video from Bishop Steven exploring our theme for the week in a bit more detail.  Each email begins with a short passage of text from the Bible. If you’ve never opened a Bible before, please don’t worry, just go with the flow as you settle in to the journey. There is also a separate weekly email for children and families. Click this link to register to receive the daily emails.

The Lenten Offerings from the Church of England: Dust and Glory encourages us to take a fresh look at the frustrations and failings that every day brings, seek to learn from them and grow closer to God through them. The 2023 Dust and Glory daily reflections start on Ash Wednesday (22 February) and end on Easter Sunday. We hope you will join us!

An accompanying children’s version is also available to help children and their families explore how we can live well together, offering a simple daily activity designed to explore the weekly themes.
