Furthering our Mission in Taplow: a new curate is coming

We are delighted that Suzanne Johnson, who did a training placement with us last year, will be joining us as a part-time training curate following her ordination at the end of June.  Suzanne writes:

“My name is Suzanne Johnson and I am extremely pleased to be joining you as assistant curate at the beginning of July.  I live in West Drayton with my husband Mark, my daughter Gemma, her fiancé and their two incredible daughters; Ellie (7) & Amelia (5).  It’s quite a busy household but very entertaining!

Studying for the past 3 years at Ripon College in Cuddesdon, Oxford has been an adventure which leads to ordination as deacon at Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford on 29thJune 2019 (to which you are all invited).  I am quite excited about this, though if you speak to me tomorrow I’ll probably say I’m terrified!  Previously I was a Reader (LLM) for many years.

A fanatical quizzer, I enjoy going to the theatre (especially musicals), modern music, dancing, ice skating, reading (despite my dyslexia), television soap operas and photography.  I was an avid scuba diver until I was diagnosed with a heart condition (atrial fibrillation) in 2012 which, though managed by medication and a pacemaker, has put pay to my diving days.  It also has to be said; I do like to laugh…. a lot!

I thoroughly enjoyed my time on placement with you last year and am looking forward to deepening friendships, meeting new people, and of course worshipping and finding God together.

Every blessing, Suzanne”
